New recordings are on the way
Hi everybody its been a while since we posted anything,
we've been working hard on our new recording for the past month and a half, and we finally took it to the studio last week!
We where in the studio last week for 4 days. We chose the studio du moulin at Montcabrier near Toulouse. The setting is awesome! The studio is joined on to an old house on the top of a hill which we stayed in, in the middle of the countryside. The studio has 4 separate rooms + the control room, brilliant for live recording. Jerome, the engineer and studio owner, is a really cool guy and a pleasure to work with.
We had prepared 11 songs and we set out with the idea of doing as many as possible within the time we had at the studio. As it happens we had a pretty intense couple of days and got it all done!
The oldest songs we recorded are "Make up My Mind" and "I'm Sorry" which we wrote about a year ago. And the newest one was "Throw It All Away" which we only finished about 2 or 3 weeks before recording it. The next step for us a couple of tracks mixed by several different engineers, and then we are going to discuss pricing before deciding who's mixing depending on who's style we like best and who we can afford !
Since then, (on Friday 18th of June) we played at "Le Printemps des Bougres" which was quite an adventure. It was on the top of hill (again) near La Serpent in the Aude. The weather was not great (it rained a bit just after we played) but there was a good sound system, and quite a few people so on the whole it was cool.
André flew off to French Guyana for the summer after that. We will be playing as a trio a bit over the summer but our next proper concert will be in September.
We have plenty to do getting the recordings finished and booking autumn shows !
